Kindergarten Dolls

Here are some of the dolls we are making in a doll making workshop I offered for parents at my school.  Wednesday was our last day of class and they are almost ready to be donated to the Kindergarten and Preschool classrooms!

During my last year at Naropa, I took a drawing class where we had to produce 100 drawing over the course of the semester.  I choose "birds" as my theme.  Here are a few watercolor paintings from my "100 birds" project!

Craft Group Painting

Starting in Ocotober, I will be offering a fall craft group for parents at my school.  I decided to paint a base illustration for my flyer.  Thanks to my friend Jen Peters who has helped to add the text!

New Mama Pillow

My dear Friend Mikie is having a baby.  Here is a lavender stuffed pillow I made for her.  A symbolic representation of pregnancy, birth and motherhood!

Dyeing Handwork Bags

Thanks to NATIVEARTH who generously donated these cotton bags to the Handwork classroom.  Here they are sorted by grade and ready to be dyed.
Somehow in the heat of the summer I managed to dye all 250 bags in my tiny or what I like to call my "gnome kitchen."
Note to self: always protect all surfaces before dumping boiling hot pink dye into the kitchen sink...good thing rubbing alcohol removes pink stains from counters, cabinets and floors!
All dyed and hanging on the line

Thanks to all the parent volunteers who are helping me to finish iron and sew these beautiful handwork bags for the children.  Stand by for the finished product!
